Hotel Restaurants and Bars
The Restaurant

Open on three sides to torch lit tropical gardens and surrounded by tranquil koi ponds, the restaurant at Sandpiper is regarded by discerning diners as one of the very best in Barbados.

Executive Chef, Christophe Poupardin, and his team offer eclectic food with a Caribbean flair from dinner menus which change five times each week.

On Wednesday nights the kitchen presents a West Indian/International buffet with favorites such as Roast Beef with Yorkshire Pudding, Bajan Flying Fish, Caribbean Shrimp and Lobster Salad or Lamb Curry plus a decadent display of desserts surrounding a chocolate fountain.

On Sunday nights there is a barbecue dinner with a wide selection of meats, fish and seafood available from the grill accompanied by live steel pan music.

For alfresco lunches and sundown cocktails, Harold’s Beach Bar is the perfect spot. Renowned for its location right on the beach and the special charm of its namesake, Harold Shepherd, Harold’s Bar is a timeless “Bajan” treasure.

Cocktail Bar

There is a tastefully designed bar and lounge with a Ralph Lauren inspired theme in cool blues and whites. Guests may enjoy refreshing drinks here in a poolside setting.

Beach Bar

There is also an informal beach bar called “Harold’s Bar” located right by the calm Caribbean Sea. Named after a special member of staff, who was recipient of the Caribbean Hotel Employee of the Year award for 2002, this bamboo fronted bar is a popular meeting place for guests.

Hotel Children Information
CHILDREN'S POLICY:

The Sandpiper is a children friendly hotel, except during the period 15 Jan -15 Mar where children under 12 years old are not permitted. No children under 5 years old allowed in the restaurant or lounge after 7:00pm.
Children under 16 years old cannot occupy a room alone

Playground
At Sandpiper's associate hotel, Coral Reef Club, 2 minutes drive away, there is an unsupervised playground available for children up to the age of 10 years. There are swings, a slide and a playhouse. There is complimentary supervision in the playhouse for 2 – 8 year olds between 2:30 p.m. and 4:30 p.m., Monday to Friday. Supervision must be booked by 12 noon. Please note that, whilst there is responsible and friendly supervision, there are no organized activities.

Babysitting
A babysitter is US$7.50 per hour during the day and US$12.50 per hour at night. Minimum of US$25.00 per day or night.

Equipment
There is a limited number of the following items available upon request, at no additional charge: cribs, high chairs, beds with sides, play pens, push chairs, bottle sterilizing tablets, children’s books, monitors, mosquito nets and kettles.

Spa Information
The Spa, which is located at the Sandpiper's sister hotel, Coral Reef Club, is housed within a beautiful colonial inspired building with clean, modern lines, set within a tropical garden paradise. A team of skilled therapists perform massage, facials, wraps and scrubs, with unrivalled expertise. Indulge in the aroma and sensation of the signature Lemongrass and Ginger Rub.

The Sandpiper's guests are offered complimentary luxury transfers for the one minute drive to The Spa.
